PERMANENT vs. TEMPORARY

Benefits of "Permanent" vs. "Temporary-to-Permanent" Placement

Permanent:

  • Provides peace of mind for candidates; gives employers more potential candidates
  • Personnel People offers a 60- to 90-day pro-rated guarantee, depending on rate
  • Personnel People interviews each and every candidate
  • Personnel People references each and every candidate
  • Lynda St. Andre has been with Personnel People since 2000 and has many years experience in placing the right candidates

Temporary-to-Permanent:

  • Allows employers you to get to know the candidate before putting them on their payroll and benefits
  • Temporary to hire is 560 hours (except for drivers, which is 720) with no buyout following that time frame
  • Personnel People pays and bills candidates weekly, so employers are not hit with a larger bill all at once
  • Personnel People interviews each and every candidate
  • Personnel People references each and every candidate

Downside of Temporary-to-Permanent:

  • Temporary placement doesn’t work as well when the job market is plentiful
  • Candidates sometimes aren’t as comfortable with temporary, or if already employed won’t accept a temporary-to-hire position
