Cable Assembly Lead Opening $30/hour – Direct Hire
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cable Assembly Lead to oversee daily production activities and provide guidance to a team of cable assemblers.
This role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, product quality, and adherence to manufacturing standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and support a team of cable assemblers.
- Assign daily work based on production schedules, labor requirements, and available equipment.
- Monitor workflow to ensure production goals and deadlines are met.
- Assemble electrical cables, wiring harnesses, and electro-mechanical components.
- Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical blueprints.
- Perform and oversee electrical panel building, wiring, soldering, and mechanical assembly.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Identify production issues and work with team members to resolve them.
- Promote safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure team members follow established manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
- Provide hands-on support with production and troubleshooting as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in cable assembly, wiring, electrical assembly, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Experience with electrical panel building, wiring, soldering, and mechanical assembly.
- Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a team and provide clear direction.
- Ability to troubleshoot assembly and production issues
Hours are
Monday through Friday – 7am to 3:30pm
The pay is up to $30.00 an hour
