Carpet Installer Helper (Direct Hire)
This position is a DIRECT HIRE role starting on day one.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing jobs each day by loading materials (rug, pads, tackles, binding, and supplies) into the truck.
- Ensure tools and equipment are ready for use, including checking that the vacuum is in working order.
- Help move furniture, clean the area, and remove old carpet as directed.
- Carry and place new carpet and padding into the installation area.
- Assist lead installer and crew members with cutting, fitting, and securing carpet.
- Replace furniture in its proper location after installation is complete.
- Help reload the truck and unload materials back at the shop at the end of the day.
- Dispose of scraps and trash properly.
- Return any leftover carpet or materials to the shop with correct instructions.
Qualifications:
- Previous flooring or carpet experience is a must
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.
Hours:
Monday through Friday – first shift
Pay:
up to $24 per hour, based on experience
