CNC Lathe Machinist – 2nd shift – $33/hour (Direct Hire)
This position is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE from day one
- Setup and operate CNC lathe machines
- Monitoring and control the quality of machining processes
- Read part prints and job orders for all product specifications including dimensions, tolerances, inspection number of parts to be machined/tooling, cutting speeds, feed rates, depth of cuts and cutting tools
- Using machine controls to cycle machine through different operations, setup, adjusting tool positions and changing tools
- Installing specified collets, bushings and stock pushers onto stock feeding mechanism and loading bar stock into feeding mechanism
- Installing, adjusting cams, gears and stops to control stock and tool movement
- Perform first piece sample inspections
- Preventative maintenance on machine such as lubricants, coolants and other maintenance
Qualifications:
- Previous CNC lathe experience
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions
- Reading and understanding of blueprints
- Experience with metric scales, micrometers, calipers and optical comparators and various other gauges
Hours are:
- Second Shift – Monday through Thursday – 3:30pm – 2:00am
The pay is up to $33.00 an hour based on experience
