SMT Operator – $25–$28/hour
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced SMT Operator to support PCB assembly operations. This role involves setup, operation, inspection, and optimization of SMT equipment to ensure high-quality production in accordance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform screen printing of solder paste and verify proper application
- Set up, operate, and monitor SMT equipment, including:
- Pick and Place machines
- Reflow ovens
- Stencil printers
- Inspection scopes
- Conduct 3D AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and perform programming (preferred)
- Perform X-ray inspection of board assemblies
- Validate and adjust SMT programs during initial production runs
- Inspect assemblies for correct component values, placement, and orientation
- Perform equipment setup and teardown as required
- Follow all quality procedures and IPC-A-610 workmanship standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of SMT operator experience
- Hands-on experience with full SMT production line equipment
- IPC-A-610 Certification (required)
- Strong understanding of PCB assembly and inspection processes
- Ability to identify defects and ensure product quality
- Experience with AOI programming is a plus
- High attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay:
$25.00 – $28.00 per hour (based on experience)
