Swiss Lead Machinist Role – $36/hour – Direct Hire (2nd Shift)
This position is a DIRECT HIRE ROLE from day one
Responsibilities:
- Setup and operate Swiss machine
- Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines
- Maintain close tolerances, conduct quality inspection of own work and adjust as needed
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers, test indicators, travel indicators and optical comparators
- Work with blueprints, operation sheets and other instructions
- Load material, deburr and inspect parts for conformance to print requirements
- Run multiple machines at the same time
- Working with supervisors and other shop departments to resolve machining or quality issues
- Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment
- Perform all functions of quality process, documentation and MRP program to enter accurate data prior to end of shift
Qualifications:
- Swiss Star machine experience is preferred
- Blueprint reading skills
- Experience with micrometers, calipers, test indicators
Hours are:
- Second Shift – Monday through Thursday – 3:30pm – 2:00am
The pay is up to $36.00 an hour based on experience
