Refrigeration Technician – $30/hour (Direct Hire Opening)
Responsibilities:
- Assemble and mount electrical wiring circuits, controls and recording devices.
- Charge, perform tests, diagnose, trouble shoot and repair a wide variety of capital equipment (single stage, cascade, multiple stage), utilizing blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams, technical manuals and other specifications.
- Assists engineers in formulating tests, and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain accuracy of testing, checking and qualifying refrigeration systems.
- Fabricating, assemble, test and repair cascade and multiple stage refrigeration systems for environmental test equipment according to blueprints, schematic drawings and testing procedures.
- Tests lines, components and connections for leaks with leak detector which indicates presence of refrigerant.
- Removes air and moisture from system and charges system with specified amount of refrigerant
- Tests, diagnose and repair defective refrigeration system at all levels of assembly.
- Records pressure and temperature readings from gauges during test run.
- Examines product for defects utilizing knowledge of manufacturing and quality standards, to ensure conformance to product specification
Qualifications:
- Ability to use a variety of test equipment, calibration equipment and hand tools such as: digital multimeters, AC clamp meters, capacitance meter, digital storage oscilloscopes, flowmeters, function generator, power supplies, digital thermometers.
- Use of computer to perform automated testing of equipment, soldering iron, hand crimp tools
- Proficient in the use of schematics, blueprints and piping diagrams
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Technical Education in Refrigeration Trade School/Certificate Program Preferred. * Must possess 608 certification in refrigeration recovery.*
Hours are:
Monday through Friday 7am – 3:30pm
The pay is up to $30.00 an hour
